Grant Aquisitions
As part of its technical assistance program, CAUSA monitors grant opportunities that member agencies may be eligible to apply for. Periodically, CAUSA provides training in grant writing to help build the capacity of member agencies in their fund development activities.

In addition, CAUSA stays on top of funding trends, new grant programs at the federal and state level. In some cases, CAUSA serves as the lead agency to apply for a grant, then sub-contracts with member agencies to provide services through a grant. Examples of this approach are Project Nexo and Project DIAL.

Becoming familiar with funding sources is an important part of organizational capacity building.

All federal programs are listed in the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance. Although a specific grant program may not be currently available, you can find programs that are a fit with your organization’s programs and contact the federal agency to determine when the next grant announcement is expected.
